Electrical Grade Paper

We offer a wide range of insulation paper as indicated below :

  • Undyed / Dyed Multiply Presspaper - Grade 'KP.4.1'
  • Undyed / Dyed Multiply Presspaper - Grade 'K2'
  • Multiply Presspaper - Grade '4’
  • Thermally Upgraded Insulating Paper

These are manufactured from quality cellulose fibres to meet the insulation requirements of Motor, Capacitor, and Transformer Manufacturers. They are made without additives in a multi-vat Cylinder Machine and are subsequently calendered to achieve a smooth finish. The manufacturing process results in homogeneous layers with excellent mechanical and electrical strength.

The thermally upgraded paper is also available as diamond-dotted press paper when cured with 'B' stage epoxy resin, which could be dotted on one or both sides for use as inter – layer insulation in Distribution Ttransformers.

Applications

Our multiple presspaper solutions are ideal for use in: Transformers, Capacitors, Slot insulation, Motor Slot Lining, Wraps, High Voltage Switchgear Components, and many similar applications.

Diamond Dotted Paper

Abiding by a strictly quality oriented approach, we manufacture and supply a wide range of Diamond Dotted Paper. Using technologically advanced means, this electrical grade paper is constituted with “B” stage epoxy resin on one side or both. The epoxy resin is applied in a special way to leave ample space between the paper for all kinds of impregnations. The Diamond squares of our paper are of a size 9.5mm X 9.5mm and are spaced 6.5mm apart. The arrangement of these squares is done with their axes along and across the machine direction of the paper, so that the epoxy diamond coating lie along a straight line. Our Diamond Dotted Paper is widely used in the insulation and mechanical binding of winding and insulation layers, laminations, conductors and straps. This Paper is tack free at room temperature and can also be utilized in high stressed areas of transformers after curing. Our Diamond Dotted paper is of high tensile strength and can be used to group together the winding layers so as to yield a single solid block. This paper can be applied on multiple layers between the parts that are to be connected by heating.

  • Packaging Details: Inssulation Diamond Dotted Paper is one of the most important solid insulation materials used in transformers. Its quality directly influences the life span of the transformer. Even though the base kraft paper is impregnated with liquids to manufacture creped kraft paper, the porosity of the paper remains intact due to the automatic temperature and moisture control by the automated machine. The mechanical as well as cross mechanical strength is enhanced as compared to the base kraft paper. The pH value remains intact, a little more towards acidic as preferred in transformer insulation. The BDV is enhanced by up to 80% as compared to base kraft paper. To ensure of best quality of Crepe paper, the base kraft paper is manufactured using longer fibers of pure wood pulp. This base paper is chemically neutral with low ash, chloride and sulphide content.

Crepe Paper

This paper is extensively used as a lead or shield in oil cooled and current transformers of CVT, IMB and CT type. Much effective than ordinary kraft paper, these papers are also used to shield copper conductors of various shapes bent at any angle. Our Crepe Paper is highly resistant to any kind of breakage, as it has three times more strength in mechanical and cross mechanical directions. The large surface area of our Crepe Paper retains more oil, which results in lowering the transformers temperature. This highly versatile and flexible paper can take any shape to efficiently cover various types of surfaces. Our organization offers Crepe Paper in a thickness ranging from 40 micron to 250 micron. Provided in the form of big rolls in a width of 1 meter or as per the customized specification of the client. In addition to our Crepe paper, we also supply a wide range of Crepe Paper Tubes. Utilized as sleeves for interconnecting terminals, these high-grade tubes have a tolerance of +0.5 mm(I.D.) and +1. 0mm(O.D.). As a superior alternative for SRBP tubes, our Crepe paper Tubes have excellent Dielectric strength and oil absorption properties.
